Refunds/Re-visits
Routine foot care appointment refund and re-visits:
At same day podiatry, we endeavour to leave all of our customers happy. However, as with any medical treatment, there is no guarantee that any treatment provided will resolve pain or improve your condition. By accepting treatment, you are aware that any treatment provided can also worsen the condition. A refund or a free re-visit/treatment will not be offered in the event that treatment was successfully carried out (for example, if a corn has been successfully removed, but the pain does not go away).

A refund or free second visit will not be carried out in the event that a skin lesion that was debrided or removed comes back. We can not guarantee that any treatment provided will stop skin lesions from returning. Particularly, corns and calluses usually come back, and a second appointment charge will be payable for an additional visits. This is also true for ingrowing toe nails that have been managed conservatively. In the event a skin lesion can not be treated or is not successfully treated, you will be made aware of this during the appointment and no change will be made to you, unless other foot care treatment is provided.

Orthotics:
To secure an order for bespoke orthotics, a non-refundable 50% deposit is payable upfront. This is because of the costs of manufacture and time spent developing the product. The final 50% payment is to be made upon supply of the insoles. As per consumer consumer right laws, you are not entitled to a refund for any custom made produces, as there can not be resold. You are only entitled to a full refund if the wait for the product is delayed 30 days past the agreed date of completion. Orthotics take between 4-6 weeks to be manufactured. This does not include the time it makes to schedule an appointment. This does not include any delays caused by a patients unavailability to receive the device. In the event orthotics do not work, or increase pain, a refund will not be issued, as this is a risk that both the customer and the Podiatrist take at point of sale.

Nail Surgery:
In the event that there is a complication that arises from surgery within the first two weeks (e.g. infection, debris and dressing issues in the first three days), a free review appointment will be offered. After two weeks, if an infection develops, a call-out charge will be payable, as there are many factors after this point that can contribute towards an infection (e.g. inadequate resting, incorrect dressing technique etc). In the event of a surgical complication, such as rapid nail regrowth before the wound has healed, this will be corrected surgically or non-surgically free of charge. A refund, free re-visit or additional surgery will not be offered in the event there is nail regrowth after 8 weeks as this is a known risk that occurs in approximately 4% of patients, as there is no 100% guarantee that surgery will prevent nail regrowth completely. As all surgeries come with risks and complications, a refund will not be issued unless there was a clinical error (for example, local anaesthetic not working prior to the procedure). A 50% deposit is payable to secure a nail surgery booking. the final 50% is payable after the procedure. In the event of cancellation after 48 hours, we will issue half of your deposit back. This is because expensive consumables are purchased for procedures prior to the surgery date. If the surgery is cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, the deposit will not be refunded.

Verruca Treatment:
There is no guarantee that any verruca treatments will get rid of the lesion or reduce pain. A refund will not be issued in the event a verruca does not resolve unless there was a clinical error during treatment, in which case your Podiatrist will inform you about on the day of treatment.
